Book club: All about love by bell hooks

Posted by: Jan

The book All about love by bell hooks, on a back ground of coffee grinds, with a cup of espresso.

What is the meaning of life? I am not quite sure yet, but love is a good contender. If you haven’t experienced love, you haven’t truly lived. We can find love in romantic relationships, but also friendship, (chosen) family, etc.

This was what we discussed on April 25th, during our book club on the book: all about love by bell hooks. bell hooks wrote this book around 20 years ago, and although some of her perspective has now become common place or perhaps even cliche, much is still thought provoking and inspiring. Inspiring to courageously choose a life based in an ethics of love. Her book is both abstract and contains very practical pointers. It is a joy to read.

Below is the JamBoard of our conversation during the book club.
